Jennifer Kelly created Metropolitan Schoolhouse in 2013 with the belief that education should be accessible for students of all learning types. Metro prides itself on serving those kids who fall between mainstream and therapeutic schools, using different learning methods that simultaneously teach rigorous academics as well as social-emotional and life skills to prepare students for college and beyond.

Jennifer is also proud that Metro is one of the only independent and secular schools to offer a Hebrew and Jewish Studies program. Students even can study for their bar or bat mitzvah without additional schooling. Through this program, Jennifer hopes to give these students a Jewish education that they would otherwise not be able to access.

On the side, Jennifer offers up her educational expertise in different ways, including as a board member for The Wabash Lights public art installation in the Loop.
