Lindsay Pinchuk

In March of 2010, Lindsay Pinchuk’s first baby was born—she named it Bump Club and Beyond. A Detroit native who made her home in Chicago, Lindsay realized that as her friends were beginning to have babies, they needed a place to connect and find a support system, so she created Bump Club and Beyond. It all started right here in Chicago, but Bump Club has now expanded to be the largest social event company for moms and moms-to-be in Austin, Minneapolis-St. Paul and the San Francisco area.

Before founding Bump Club and Beyond, Lindsay worked in publishing, advertising, and marketing for 10 years. Robin, a former Bump Club intern, described Lindsay as driven, outgoing and creative. “Bump Club is so successful because of Lindsay’s outstanding networking skills, shining personality and goal-oriented mindset,” she said. “She runs Bump Club with a very small staff and she continues to impress everyone who meets her or attends her events.”

As she says on the Bump Club website, Lindsay “is not only the President and Founder of Bump Club and Beyond, but also a member.” She and her husband welcomed their first daughter in October 2010 and are expecting their second child this fall.

How do you Jew in Chicago?
Quite honestly, I am still trying to figure this out. I am a Detroit-native who has lived in Chicago for 10+ years and now call Chicago home. I still feel very connected to my Jewish roots in Michigan and am trying to find my way here in Chicago. Every year when we can't go to our families in Detroit or Montreal, we host the High Holidays/Passover for all of our friends who are also in Chicago with no family. We have also always hosted a Latke and Vodka party for the same friends—though now that we have kids its mainly just Latkes at 4pm on a Sunday. These friends have become our Chicago family. We love PJ Library and are looking forward to our second High Holidays with our toddler! She adores the Tot Service at Temple Sholom. To be honest, we're still trying to navigate the Chicago Jewish community and would love some help!

Passions:
My family, my friends, travel!

How do you give back?
We have always given back and been involved with the community through Bump Club and Beyond. Through charity-based events and shopping nights, monetary donations from ticket sales of our events, drives to collect baby necessities for moms in need, and annual donation fitness classes with our partners, we are always trying to find ways to give back—especially to moms and families in need. We regularly work with Share Our Spare, More than Milk, Health Connect One, Girls on the Run and others.

Fill in the blank: If time and money were limitless, I would:
Make sure every mom in the USA and Canada had access to the community and resources of Bump Club and Beyond. I know personally what this entity has done for me and can only hope that I can bring it to as many moms and moms-to-be as possible!

Chicago's Jewish community in 10 years:
I'd like to see more ways for Jewish families with roots in other parts of our country to get involved and educated on the resources available to them here in Chicago in the Jewish community.

Me in 10 years:
Bump Club and Beyond and our resources will be in 100+ cities across North America. We will be one of THE most trusted brands in the parenting community.
