One of Zach Fertig's rabbis describes him as a "Jewish mother's dream son-in-law" who is "making it cool to be Jewish." Perhaps that's in part because he is so willingly committed to giving back through many different Jewish and Israel-focused organizations.

Zach has been involved with AIPAC's Young Leadership Council and the Illini Hillel Board of Governors and takes an active role in supporting the efforts of AJC, AIPAC and Project 613. At JUF, Zach sits on the YLD board and the JUF Marketing and Communications Committee. He has also served on the JUF Breakthrough Fund Committee, helping award grants to jumpstart innovative Jewish projects locally and in Israel.

During the day, Zach works as the marketing director of National Home Rentals, which uses a vertically integrated platform to help people find their ideal home.
